Would you look at that, I drew Tachyon HorseGirl. That's her full name, I assume.
GOODBYE FOREVER, 2025
Well! That's 2025 nice and wrapped up! It's been... a challenging year in the big picture (oh America, you silly goose...), but personally, my year has been really good! I got a ton of artwork drawn, my guitar skills leveled up even further and I got... maybe not as much work on Negative Reverie as I wanted done, but still got a lot done nonetheless!
Let's take a look, shall we. :)
ART
Let's not be coy about it or beat around the bush...
I drew a shit-load of stacked up anime baddies.

I also drew Jotaro one time. That's really the icing on the cake, imo.
Maybe I'll open up commissions again in 2026, but for now I think anime babes are taking a bit of a backseat to working on Negative Reverie. That's ok, though, I'm still doodlin' here and there. Next year, I think I might like to study a few art styles that I really like and level up a little bit on the technical side. We'll see.
MUSIC
We FINALLY put out our full length ZAKU record this year, holy smokes!!!
You can hear it here, if you haven't already.
I have forgotten to put it up for streaming, so I'll try to get to that soon! Expect an announcement when it's up for streaming!
The big highlight of my year was seeing Ado live, though.

I ended up putting the pin on my guitar case.
I wish I could go back and see that show again. Ah well, I'll just have to go to the next one too! A few months after the show she put out the song "Magic" and I've been obsessed with it, so I hope she plays it live next time.

I listened to a lot Ado and vtuber music... very cool, right?
That first song on there is actually a song I put out that got 10k+ views in the first day or two, so that was kinda cool for me. :)
You can check it out here, if you haven't heard it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5efuNRxAQs
Let's hear it for music!
GAMES
I did... not play a lot of games this year. Not a very gaming year. My Steam recap showed a solid 6 month period where I never even turned it on.

Just a lil' break.
So, while I didn't play very much... what I did play was pretty great.
Here's what I can remember, in order of how much I enjoyed them (also only games I finished count):
Ys I
Resident Evil 4 REmake + Separate Ways
Endless Monday: Overtime Expansion
Gal Guardians: Servants of the Dark
New Super Luigi U
Mario Kart World
Granblue Fantasy Versus (didn't "finish" it, per se... but you know what I mean)
UGH, Ys is so good. What a game. I should say... I THOROUGHLY enjoyed every game I played this year so consider everything on that list as a 10/10 banger.
I mentioned to my roommate tonight that I have felt that, for the last week or two, I've actually been getting MORE work done on Negative Reverie when I allow myself to actually game for an hour or two on each of my days off. Maybe having the outlet of gaming a little bit keeps me inspired and allows me to focus more when it is productivity time. Who knows!
Regardless, I would like to try to beat several games in 2026. I've been keeping a list of games I want to play and games I'm currently in the middle of on backloggd, so hopefully that will help me actually finish a few.
NEGATIVE FUCKIN REVERIE
WOWOW! What a year for gameboy-style rpgs about Silicon Valley irresponsibility.
A majority of all the work that's been done on the game was done this year and it's finally starting to take shape! We even had a live demo this year in November!
It's still really hard to put an estimated release date on it... probably not during 2026 at all, but possibly mid 2027 IF I can work like CRAZY all year long (which I plan on doing).
Anyway, even though the goal is a long way off, I'm still really proud of what got done this year... and not just this year... but this week, too! That's right, it's update time!

G-g-g-g-game over.
Here's a little slice of what got added this week:
Started making the locations for Chapter 4 AND 5
Added a resource for tracking flags (this is an internal thing for me, but it makes a big difference)
Added Climbing and Ladders
Added Flashlight
Added "Hunted_Mode" (This is gonna be cool)
Added some enemies and bosses
Added Countdown Timer
Characters can now DIE, yippee!
Game Over works!
What a haul! I'm very very happy with the amount that got done this week. For completeness, here're the github commits, if you're into that kinda thing:
Added hallway poster dialogue, changed the tunnel tileset, created several tunnel areas, changed the freight controller to wait for "close to controller" to be true
Added flags resource for keeping track of random flags, added Amphora tilemap, updated the underground tunnels tilemap, added lights_out scene for turning lights out in an area, added a flashlight to player and map characters, added ladders, added Amphora1 map, expanded freight elevator bottom/administration entry, admin halls 1 and 2, added DeepPiping areas, added flashlight lighting textures
Turned off the warning for unused signals in Godot, added the Goro tune as a placeholder, added RatMass enemy and party, added a "Flashlight ON" script, character death added to battle system, renamed some enemies to their correct names, moved Top_Shader to layer 1000, added Amphora2, added CountdownTimer, added GameOver screen, cleaned up the menu screen code and now it emits a signal when it is closed, Player now emits menu opened and menu closed signal
Added some new dialogue, adjusted positioning on the follower characters so they don't get stuck on ladders and more accurately follow the player's Y value, added "BulkyHatch" scene, added TunnelBreakAwayBridge, PipingBottom and PipingWall locations, battle characters now dim and have their icons shatter when KO'd, added the game over screen, added the ability to go over and under bridges, added more flags to flag resource, added art for flatHatch, brightened puddle color in "garage" tileset (technically the tunnels tileset)

It's dark down there.
OK, I'M TIRED OF WRITING NOW
I'm tryna get off here and play some more Ys II tonight... maybe finish one more game up before the new year. I hope y'all have a fantastic 2026 A.D. and thank you so much for caring about my dumb little projects!
An ESPECIALLY HUGE, GRAND THANK YOU to all my patrons in paid tiers, btw. I really do appreciate the support so much! Obviously, it isn't necessary and you can still have access to the dev updates, but I do want to just single y'all out for a moment and tell you it has meant a lot to me and helps me out a bunch. Thank you.
Take care of yourselves and let's make 2026 a fun and productive one! AWOO!
